"I've loved music my entire life and always knew I wanted to make an album and possibly travel in a band. In 2004, my sister lost a 9 year battle with Leukemia. The week before she died, she grabbed me and told me I was doing music for the wrong reason and that I was being selfish. The truth of what she said hit me right between the eyes. On the night she died, I made a vow to God to only play and sing for Him! I wanted to become a worship leader and record an album and do great things for God. But that didn't happen right away. I remember being angry and missing her so much. 6 months after she died I wrote a song called Shine (I Can See You) It was my way of not only grieving but it was God's way of healing me as I could imagine her enjoying the presence of Jesus in Heaven. I can't wait to share that song on the album!
I did become a worship leader but I was still (and still am) a work in progress. In 2009, I lost my left eye and was out of work and unable to provide for my family. I felt like a failure. It was then that God laid the story of Gideon on my heart and it changed me. I realized that God looks at me as a mighty warrior - that I'm called to lead the charge into His presence through music. It doesn't matter if I feel weak, He doesn't see me that way. He's called me and I'm all in for wherever this takes me. Since then, I've been on FIRE, learning to be a leader and growing in my calling.
I write passionate worship songs that range from rock to soft acoustic ballads. I want to glorify God with the gifts He's given me and this album is my way of doing just that. It's been a long time coming, yet it's been ordained by God's Spirit and I can't wait to see what He does with it! Regardless of the popularity of this album, whether everything falls into place and doors swing wide open or if more trials come, I WILL SERVE MY GOD!"
In June of 2014, an independent Christian label, Innovate Records, signed me as an artist and is helping launch my ministry and Christian music career. I'm so excited for all that God has in store! If you think your church might be interested in having me come out to lead a Night of Worship, just send me a message and I'll get right back to you.
